All parks will be open to the public by 2015!
- "Nearly 4,000 acres of public greenspace along the edge of a Top 50 metro area.
- Four new major parks are being added: Beckley Creek Park, Pope Lick Park, Turkey Run Park, and Broad Run Park.
- All parks are linked by the stream, trail system, and park drive."
How big will the Parklands be?
- "When completed, the Parklands of Floyds Fork will be nearly 10 times the size of Cherokee Park and 5 times the size of Central Park in New York!
- The Parklands will have 100 miles of new trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, plus 22 miles of canoe trail along the stream.
- The Parklands will have children's playgrounds, walking paths, and dog parks, as well as places for fishing, canoe launches, ball fields and much more."
